Looks like Berg might be in some trouble here!

Hey readers! I've gotten picked up as a Hiveworks affiliate, so in the next couple of weeks Snarlbear will be moving to a new location. I’ll make a big announcement here when it does. Keep an eye on my tumblr for more updates/info on that

Thanks, guys

Just came across your comic, and I really like it! Your art is gorgeous - your characters are so expressive and I absolutely love your coloring. I can see the care that you take to make the world vibrant and alive, and I like how it really reflects and symbolizes the moods and tones of the comic in each scene.

I'm also really, really enjoying the relationship between Flint and Snarl. I really like Flint's character and how you're showing us the progressive unhinged-ness of Snarl without explaining it in words.

I also have to say that I like the approach you're taking with the dialogue. The characters speak very naturally, you don't tell or explain things to us, but instead reveal parts of the story piece by piece. You do it very well too, in that I'm never frustrated by my lack of understanding, but eager to learn more. You're pacing everything very well - I especially like how we've already started the main plot within the first ten or so pages. You gave us just enough pages so we have a basic understanding of her character - she daydreams about being a warrior, works at a job she seems bored with, and leaps at the opportunity to try something different - but you don't drag it out anymore than that.

Did I mention that I am super loving the friendship between Flint and Snarl, because I am.

I'm very excited to read more of your work!

P.S. My speculation at this part of the comic: it's Narcy that's leading Flint into a trap, and Cassie's just the distraction.

Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to mention - I really like your worldbuilding stuff that you write in the comments, like what exactly a ghost elf is, and I was wondering if there would be any way for you to maybe collect them in one place so one wouldn't have to go reading the comments of every page to learn these things?

Also would you be able to say what's up with Flint's scarf things? I know you said he can't fly, just hover, so I'm sort of assuming he doesn't have telekinesis, and I don't see Berg doing anything like that either. Is that something special that elves can do, or he can do, or is it an enchanted clothing?

Thanks! :)

Oh wow, thank you! This is the nicest comment I've gotten in a while : O

I hadn't thought of putting worldbuilding info all in one place but, as I'm moving sites soon, maybe I could have a world info section? I don't want to draw attention away from the story but I do like talking about cake elves. Maybe an illustrated faq?? I'm trying to focus on getting pages done but I'll see what kind of time I've got

Flint's ribbon belt is enchanted clothing, but it's not a particularly special quality. Trailing ends are a typical fashionable accessory for ghost elves.

Berg probably could do the whole float thing, but she doesn't because she sees it as unprofessional. She's also been living off Monochrome in the RD for longer than Flint.

Your art style looks like you went through some kind of formal study of sequential art. I am not surprised you got picked up by the big boys. I admit I will miss SB here. Now that you are part of Hiveworks I expect you to work even harder developing your craft. Good luck.
