I have been redoing the covers for this comic! I was doing them to go with my comic's mirror on tapastic, but I figured they'd make nice filler between now and chapter 7

THANKS! It's been like 3 years since I painted the old one, so I felt it was time for something newer and flashier.

The new icon is from the redo of the chapter 5 cover! If you're feeling impatient all of the new covers are on tapastic (see author note) or on my tumblr here: http://gearfish.tumblr.com/post/95098542597/i-felt-accomplished-so-i-made-a-photoset-of-all-of

Gearfish, are you going to go to print?

I'd like to, but I made some irresponsible decisions with size and color when I started. So, maybe at some point?

I would like to do a postcard print set of all the cover illustrations when I'm done though. I think that would be nice

The size is consistent, it seems, but color may cause additional expenses. You may have to print on those waxy papers, like the BONE series did.

It's consistent but they're all 8.5" x 11", which is a lot bigger than I was hoping to go given the number of panels per page. Unfortunately the standard page sizes for most comic printers are too narrow!

Also I was going to print in color either way because color is such a big part of this comic. Unfortunately I colored the files in RGB instead of CMYK. A glossy page would help with deeper darks but not with neon cyan or red or green, which are hard to replicate on a printer. I hear there are printers now doing an alright job with RGB files though, so maybe I can look into those.

That, and the startup cash to actually order the books. Kickstarter exists?? I have to actually finish the comic first before I print it, so I have time to work it out.

Wait... 8.5" x 11" isn't the right size to use? I thought it was the standard paper size...

EDIT: Nevermind, I see what you mean. You can probably downsize the pages at an equal aspect ratio for printing.

One of my friends works in a print shop and told me that there me there might be a way to convert RGB to CMYK with some add-on software for PS. I'm not going to pretend I understood what he was talking about but I can ask him to explain how it could be done.

There's a setting for it on photoshop, it's just when I switch over there's some colors RGB can dot hat CMYK can't (I've had a lot of trouble with certain blues)
